Memory of Saints Cyril, monk, and Methodius, Bishop, brothers born in Thessaloniki, were sent to Moravia by Bishop Photius of Constantinople to preach the Christian faith, and there invented there own signs to translate from Greek to Slavonic language the sacred books. They are co-patrons of Europe.
